Arrested, tortured and sentenced to death, Guy Fawkes had the testis and heart ripped out, and ended up beheaded and dismembered the body not only as set forth in the public square to rot and serve as food for the crows. All because he was a Catholic in England (Anglican majority country) and decided to join a plot to blow up Parliament and kill the king, kidnap his daughter and lead a popular uprising.

It all started when Queen Elizabeth 1st sent eliminate Mary Stuart (the first in line of succession) because she was Catholic.
